POSITION:
The District Manager (DM) will oversee all operations of multiple Pilates studios within a specified region.
This includes guiding Studio Managers in managing their studios, overseeing membership and retail
sales, and evaluating instructor performance. The DM leads sales strategies across all locations, driving
membership growth and revenue while implementing initiatives to reduce attrition. The role involves
hiring, training, and managing Studio Managers and Sales Associates, while utilizing discretion and
independent judgment in directing the work of all personnel. Fitness or Pilates experience is preferred but
not required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of multi-location retail/service or fitness sales management experience
Proven track record of strong leadership skills with team through coaching, mentoring, and
supporting Stevenson Fitness policies & SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)
Must cultivate a positive environment for managers, instructors, sales staff and members
Must be a certified Pilates instructor or in the process of certification and able to successfully graduate within 6 months of hire date.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and electronically
Ability to work independently and collaborate with studio owners / leadership team
Experience managing revenue streams (memberships, retail, private training, teacher training)
across multiple locations
Highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in data management, with the ability to prioritize and
meet deadlines
Extensive knowledge and operational skills of Microsoft Excel
The ability to be adaptable and evolve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong judgment and decision-making skills
Professional and punctual with high standards for reliability and appearance
Proficiency with computers and studio management software
Passion for fitness and an understanding of the Pilates industry (preferred but not required)
Must have a valid driver’s license with insurance and must pass a background check
DUTIES:
Lead sales efforts and membership growth strategies across multiple studios
Analyze revenue and attendance reports via Club Ready and implement corrective actions where
needed
Monitor retail and studio inventory across locations to ensure accurate stocking
Provide monthly reports for leadership insight (e.g. staff productivity, membership waitlist usage)
Provide ongoing audits of healthcare memberships to ensure accuracy
Oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions to generate leads
Schedule weekly and monthly email updates for prospects and members
Prepare and schedule monthly member newsletters
Oversee grassroots marketing and community networking initiatives at the district level
Attend and organize networking events and studio promotions for the district
Hire, train, support, discipline and manage Studio Managers and Sales Associates within the
district
Support and guide Studio Managers in executing the sales process to drive prospects into intro
classes
Manage instructor schedules and ensure appropriate staffing across all studios
Teach Pilates classes in backup situations such as a late call-out
Manage sales staff schedules and ensure appropriate staffing across all studios
Support studio managers with membership milestones, freezes, cancels and collection of past
dues
Provide high-level customer service oversight and resolve escalated issues
Ensure all studios maintain cleanliness and organization in line with company standards
Enforce all Club Pilates policies and procedures across the district
Ensure processes are understood and consistently followed
Support Studio Managers with ordering and delivering supplies
Continuously update studio communication templates and Standard Operating Procedures
Any other duties as assigned
